Article summary

A job ad can be unpublished by clicking the Unpublish option from the job ad action menu in the job ad grid. Unpublishing a job ad will remove it from the WorkinAUS platform as well as other platforms that the ad has been posted on.
You can unpublish temporarily, if the hiring process is put on hold, or permanently, if a suitable candidate has been hired for the advertised position before the job ad expiration date.
Normally, a published job ad stays active for a period of 30 days and can be unpublished at any point during this timeframe.

Unpublish_Action

It's important to note that unpublishing a job ad from WorkinAUS will update the job ad status to "Closed" on the WorkForce Australia platform.
The closure date will either be the same day or the following day, and a message will appear at the top of the job ad page indicating that the vacancy has been closed (see screenshot below).
Please note that you can republish a job ad within the original 30 day time period, without charge or using any extra job ad credits over all the platforms, except WorkForce Australia.
If you need to republish your job ad on WorkForce Australia you will need to post a new job ad which will use a job ad credit or incur a job ad charge.

Once a job ad has been unpublished, its status changes to unpublished, and the publish option appears in the job ad action menu in the job ad grid, should you wish to republish the job ad again.

Please also note that if a job ad remains unpublished beyond the original 30 day time period, the system will automatically expire the ad, irrespective of whether auto renew was activated for the ad.
